Unfortunately, we always seem to have a long waiting list of cats that need to be surrendered for some reason.

In the meantime, there are some ways we may be able to help you keep your cat.

Use our online surrender form below and release agreement to let us know a little more about the circumstances and your cat.

    All donations we receive go toward the care and treatment of our cats or to support our activities to find homes for those living with our foster families.

    Historically, the cost to vet a cat in preparation for it to be adopted averages $150.

    To help defray the costs of carining for the cat you are releasing to us, AZ MCCR requests a $25 owner surrender fee.

  • AZ MCCR Release Agreement

    Please read and check to confirm you understand and agree to the following terms:

  • I, * hereby make available * to Arizona Maine Coon Cat Rescue (AZ MCCR) to be made available for adoption.

  • I certify that I am the owner of this cat, free and clear of all other interests.

    I also certify that this cat does not possess any dangerous or vicious propensities, including to the best of my knowledge any sickness or diseases. I have not willfully concealed any information about this cat that might indicate such propensities. The information I have provided about this cat is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.

    I hereby forever release, discharge and agree to hold harmless and indemnify AZ MCCR, its officers, its members, volunteers, coodinators, representatives or any other person, firm or corporation involved with the efforts or business of AZ MCCR from all claims, demands, actions or causes of action or liability of any kind incurred as a result of or in connection with the adoption, fostering veterinary care or other disposition of the above named cat.

    This agreement shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona. Lawsuits or any other legal proceedings between the parties to this contract shall be brought in the courts of Maricopa County in the State of Arizona.
    It is understood that neither AZ MCCR nor the individual or family adopting the cat is expected to pay Owner any amount for said cat.
